indiana state fair

This year our trip to the fair was a fairly quick one. We had a new experience of riding the state fair train...let's just say next year we will be driving ourselves down to the fair. We did enjoy looking at all the fun stuff. We even found our little friend Tressa's 4H projects. And of course we all enjoyed many items in the "fair food" category! Ashtin's favorite thing was seeing the baby piglets. I'm just happy she doesn't want one for her birthday. She did say they were too stinky to have as pets. A goat is still on the list...

annual trip to the zoo

Friday we went to the zoo to check out this summers guests...two adorable koala bears. Did ya know that they sleep 18-22 hours a day...i am soooo jealous. I think I work 18-22 hours a day.


Yes it was my idea to take the girls and my mom (aka ole bluefoot - yeah she still has her cast on and did you know all the walking paths are up and down hills....i got a work out pushing a wheel chair around for a couple of hours). The girls had a fun time. Ashtin got to brush a goat so maybe the whole goat for my birthday idea was satisfied. And Jenna loved seeing the brand new baby baboon.
